Bokeh Blended Background

Hey there! Today I’m sharing a sweet little card, using the new Elephant Pair stamp and a bokeh blended background. Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, and this card would be perfect for it!

I stamped the new Elephant Pair in Black on Bristol cardstock, and colored them in with my gray ZIG’s, with a touch of blush. After cutting them out, I set the stage for them by blending a background of Abandoned Coral and Dried Marigold. I flicked some water on it, and pulled the water back off with a paper towel, leaving some pretty little bokeh looking things. 😜

After heat setting the ink background and covering it with some anti-static powder, I heat embossed a sentiment from Swans and Cattails in White.

I then die cut the edges of two strips of cardstock with the Nesting Postage Stamp dies, and adhered these over the blended background with foam. The elephants were then popped on, and some gems finish the card off!

This Elephant Pair stamp will be available in the Hero Arts store this Friday, but if you can’t wait that long, it’s available now online at Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks so much for stopping in today and God bless!
