Hey there! I have a fun blended background and some cute die-cuts to share with you today!
Spellbinders generously sent me the Die D-Lites Beverages Etched dies awhile back, and almost as soon as I got them, I die-cut them and colored them pink, inspired by a pin. However, I didn’t really like the direction the card was going in, and I had other assignments going on, so I put aside the colored die-cuts for awhile. About a month or two later, I came back to them, and this time with the idea of making it more colorful.
Like this project? Pin it and save for later!
I die cut five circles out of a cardstock panel, placing them rather whimsically. Then I marked the curves on a another piece of cardstock, and used a mask to blend each circle. I used Worn Lipstick, Cracked Pistachio and Mustard Seed.
I then adhered the die cut panel on the blended background with dimensional adhesive, and then popped the die-cuts on.
Then, because I had an extra colored die-cut, I decided to decorate the inside, blending another circle background and adhering the extra die-cut. I stamped a coordinating sentiment from the Snarky Mix&Match Messages set – totally cracks me up! Sadly, I am a forgetful person and forgot to take pics of the inside, so you’ll just have to take my word that it was pretty funny. 😉 Check out two cards (and a video!) I made using the set HERE if you don’t believe me. 😉
I’m not really a person that thrives under a pressure or does well with loooooots of time. Some projects just turn out better if I don’t have time to overthink, but sometimes I find that it can pay to put off a project if you don’t have a strict deadline. What about you? Do you work better under either condition?
