Layered Stamping & Die-Cutting

Hey there! I’ve got another version of a card I made while back, involving lots of layered stamping and die-cutting – one of my favorite kind of cards to make!

I started out by stamping the leaves – from Color Layering Hibiscus and Color Layering Parrot –  in varying combinations of Lime Green, Green Hills and Green Apple, and then die-cut them. The flowers are stamped in varying combinations of Bubble Gum, Rose Madder, Ultra Pink and Raspberry Jam, with the stems a pretty embossed gold.

I then stamped the parrot in Soft Sky, Soft Pool, Stone Wash and Navy, and die-cut him out. Before adhering anything down, I dry-embossed the Papel Picado Confetti die on the card base – it’s super hard to tell in the photos.

With the embossing done, I placed him on top of the flowers I had arranged. I stamped a sentiment from Ribbon Messages Stamp&Cut, and heat embossed it on gold, and then die-cut with the coordinating die-cut.

I finished the card off with some gems.

I really love the different looks this background die gives, and I love how the Color Layering Hibiscus and Color Layering Parrot combine. I have two more takes on the combo – just click on the photo to take yourself to the blog post!

Thanks so much for stopping in today and God bless!
