Quick One-Layer Watercolor

Happy Friday! Today I’ve got a quick, one layer watercolor card for ya!

Awhile back, I had a pair of quick watercolored cards on the Hero Arts blog, inspired by THIS pin. Today’s card is pretty much the same deal, except closer to the original pin’s colors.

Using the Welcome Neighbor stamp set, I stamped the first house in Charcoal, and then the rest of the houses in Pale Tomato. I used some of the smaller images in the set to add a little extra detail, like the chimneys and weathervane.

I colored the house with some Dandelion, Black, and a mix of Dandelion and Strawberry. Then I added a light Dandelion wash above the house to make the setting for the sentiment.

The sentiment, from Yes Stamp&Cut, was stamped in Charcoal once the watercolor had dried.

Which colorway do you like better?

Thanks for stopping in and God bless!
