Scene Building

Hello! Today I’m playing along in the Hero Arts May 2018 My Monthly Hero blog hop, with two cards using some beautiful images and dies from the main kit.

CARD DEETS – Framed Scene

There are so many beautiful images in this kit that work perfectly with the absolutely stunning fancy frame die, also in the kit. I started out by blending a background of Dandelion, Cotton Candy, Bubble Gum and a touch of Ultra Pink.

I then stamped one of the swinging images in black and die cut with a coordinating die from the kit. Last bit of stamping was the sentiment, stamped with Versamark on a strip of midnight layering paper, and then heat embossed in white.

The rest of the card was super easy to assemble. The beautiful tree scene was die cut from white cardstock, and then adhered to the sentiment and blended background. I die cut an oval from another white A2 panel, and adhered a piece of clear acetate behind it.

The background was filled with some sequins and star confetti, and then the oval panel was adhered on top of all with dimensional adhesive. I love how the sequins play off the background.

CARD DEETS – Tree Building

One of the cool aspects of this kit are the tree branches – there’s so many ways you can play around with this, and I have a couple takes on the Hero Arts blog HERE. For today’s post, I built a colorful tree with Tide Pool.

I stamped an accompanying squirrel in Antigua, and some funky apples using Pink Ombre. A sentiment, stamped and white heat embossed, was hand trimmed and adhered to the card base.

Thanks for joining me today and be sure to check out the details below for lots of inspiration, a supply list, and a chance to win the kit yourself!
