Snailed it! – Fifteen Minute Friday

Happy Friday! Today I’m popping in to share two cards using the adorable Snailed It stamp set, each of which were made in fifteen minutes or less.

The color inspiration for both cards today was taken from the Ellen Hutson April Color Trends challenge – such a pretty color selection!

Repeating Pattern

For the first card, I started by stamping the snail bodies in Stone Wash. I then stamped the shell in Rose MadderDusty Blue and Indigo. I then stamped a sentiment in Indigo on a strip of a cardstock, trimmed it down, and adhered it to the card.

The topper is a pair of googly eyes I found in my stash – totally makes the card!

Blended Background

This card was a bit of a cheat – I took a background scrap I had blended for THIS card but hadn’t used. I paired it with a snail stamped in Rose MadderCotton Candy, and Stone Wash, and a sentiment stamped in Rose Madder.

Of course, I had to add more googly eyes, and to finish it off, I used a strip of patterned paper. Guys, I don’t even remember the last time I used patterned paper…(*goes to check Instagram*)…apparently it was just over two years ago!

Check out my Instagram today to see the play-by-play creation of the first card – but in a different colorway – in my Stories.

Thanks so much for stopping in today and God bless!

  1. Oh my gosh your cards are just too cute. I love the snails repeated and the google eyes on the one. The heart and snail is an awesome touch. Great colors. I need to think out of the box.. I know I would of done more snail colors but I LOVE yours.. I need to take the blinders off.. Thanks for the inspiration.

  2. My 10-year-old daughter has been obsessed with snails since she was a toddler. She would love these cards! I got to get this set!
