ZIG Colored Vellum

Hey there! It’s officially spring (although with the ten inches of snow we got Tuesday, it doesn’t feel like it) so I decided to share this fun shaker card, featuring a watercolor daisy on vellum.

I started out by heat embossing the Daisy and Bugs Stamp & Cut in white on some heavy vellum. I then colored it with some ZIG’s (listed at the end of this post).

Keep in mind that whatever vellum you use will have a slight difference on the overall look of your card. Because this is heavyweight vellum, the sequins aren’t very visible (though they definitely make a raucous when shaken up!), but the vellum doesn’t warp as much. Lighter vellum will warm more, but let the background peek through more.

I then created the shaker portion by die cutting some green cardstock with rounded rectangle dies, adhering it to the vellum, and then filling the space between the panel and card base with a sequin/bead mix from a previous My Monthly Hero kit.

A die cut sentiment, from Happy Stamp & Cut, along with a stamped sentiment, topped off the card, along with some purple sequins.

Thank you for stopping in today and God bless!
